Supported by volunteers
Our fantastic team of volunteers helps us reach out to more and more people everyday. They generously offer their time to support with things like transport, befriending or activities.
There is no age limitation to get support from us. Those under the age of 18 may require a parent or guardian with them at the time, otherwise we may need to refer to alternative organisations
What our clients say about our services
“After I lost my wife I was very down. wHoo Cares have helped me so much in starting to feel better again. wHoo Cares suggested that I joined the Grain walks and I really feel that has played a big part in my grieving process and I now feel like I am out the other side”.
— Hugh.
“A very big thank you for such a lovely Queen's Platinum Jubilee party. you must all have spent a lot of time arranging every single detail. you thought of everything to make it such a success. well done everyone”.
— Pam & Malcolm.
“You have helped me so much, it really has changed my life being with wHoo Cares. I have things to look forward to now and have made friends at the groups. Even though I don't have things to do some weekends, it doesn't matter because I have your groups to look forward to the next day. I really enjoyed the mental health people that were activity day, it was nice to have a chat with someone and talk to them about the things I have going on”.
— Cynthia.
