Christmas Day Lunch
The wHoo Cares Christmas Day Lunch is an annual event to bring together people in our community who may otherwise be alone on Christmas Day. This Christmas was no exception and the team at wHoo Cares, together with some incredibly generous volunteers, once again pulled out all the stops to provide a wonderful afternoon for our guests. The day included a full Christmas Day lunch with all the trimmings, gifts, bingo and a good old sing-a-long too. One of our regular Christmas Day volunteers said “ I thoroughly enjoyed the day and believe each year it gets better and better”.
Here at wHoo Cares we strive to make a difference to other people’s lives and as one guest told us.... “If it wasn’t for wHoo Cares I wouldn’t be here this Christmas. When my partner died I was at the lowest point I have ever been and couldn’t imagine carrying on but you got me through it. You are marvellous”.
